This homely bustling café did not disappoint. The meals are large but balanced and there is an option to suit all dietary preferences.

 

Juliette and I chose the vegetarian big breakfast. It was so refreshing to eat a vegetarian big breakfast that didn’t rely on baked beans! This meal deserves a big tick in my book because of the generous portion of vegetables. I live my life following the healthy plate model where I must have half of my plate filled with vegetables. Today I got exactly that. There was a generous serving of mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach for that hit of iron and b vitamins all vegetarians need. To accompany the vegetables we were served halloumi, eggs and a hash brown.

 

Although the meal was heavy on oil I knew I would not need to eat again until dinner. If there’s any healthy food tip to put you in good stead for brunch time choices make it all about balance and extra vegetables. If your meal looks to be lacking in vegetables order more as a side!!
