Maltby market

Down a tucked away alley you will find a quaint and tourist free food market. It oozes charm and the smells that hit you as you meander your way through the delicious stalls are divine.
Be warned Maltby market doesn’t cater to egg lovers or the full English fanatic but the food on offer has to put it up there among one of my favourite London markets.
I was torn when it came time to make a decision on what to choose. I had to turn to a couple of locals who were discussing their favourites. They recommended the steak sandwich or the falafel
wrap. I ended up choosing the option if you hadn’t guessed already with the most vegetables. This
was the Mediterranean falafel salad plate with a selection of more than 5 salads. As the picture
suggests this really was a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
The choices available range from the well balanced and healthy Mediterranean falafel to the not so balanced and very high calorie tartiflette or the enormous cheese toasties. My tip of the day to steer you clear of the unhealthy choice would be to not venture here starving and if you need to try some
of the beautiful pastries go with someone who is happy to share.
