Lardo Bebe

Most of you will know Lardo Bebe or Lardo in London Fields as a tasty Italian Pizza joint. What you might not know is over the weekend they serve a small but tasty brunch menu.
Upon arrival we weren’t sure if brunch was really on offer but after walking into the garden we were pleasantly surprised with our choice and were greeted by a few other brunch goers.
We chose the classic avocado with basil, chilli and poached eggs on toast. This came recommended by the staff. The meal was highly enjoyable the bread was beautiful and there was a generous helping of
avocado. I must admit I was disappointed that there wasn’t more chilli and basil. We also chose baked polenta with mushrooms accompanied by a lovely soft cheese. This
dish was heavy and
significantly higher in fat than all other options on the menu. It was tasty but we agreed it needed more freshness to lift the meal.
Lardo was a satisfying choice and if you’re keen not to battle the crowds this is the place for you.
