Bistrotheque

Bistrotheque is fancy joint tucked around the side of a building which makes it’s a need to know place to dine. It welcomes you with white interior and a live piano player. It was a nice way to start a Saturday morning.
The breakfast menu is small but ticks most boxes although I was disappointed they were missing a porridge/Bircher/fruit salad option. So if you’re craving something light and fresh you are out of luck.
I opted to share the poached egg with avocado and the Crab Rarebit. The crab was recommended to us by the waiter and it did not disappoint. It was rich but wow it was tasty. A full portion of this would have sealed my mouth shut full of grease but a half portion with something fresh was a winning combo. I love a waiter who is not afraid to recommend their favourite.
The meals weren’t great value but they did deliver on flavor and the atmosphere was fun. Later on in the day I did have fruit and salad to make up for what was lacking at breakfast but I would recommend this spot for brunch. Beware there is no outdoor seating so only dine in if the weather isn’t inspiring.
